First and foremost, happy belated birthday to the following people:





Second, my birthday was yesterday. *Chucks scraps of leftover mental confetti into the nearest trash bin.* I'm officially nineteen, which--according to Japanese folk belief--is the first of three unlucky ages, or yakudoshi, for women. (Men needn't worry until their twenty-fifth year.)

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Where have you been, man?" Hm, let's see, I'm taking 17 credit hours' worth of classes and running a student club--I don't have time to go on the internet (let alone turn on my computer!) unless I need to check my email or Blackboard.

Additionally, I've been forced to undergo a series of out-patient and in-patient EEGs since mid-late July. In late August or thereabouts, it occurred to my neurologist that, apparently, the medication I had been taking for over a year wasn't doing its job and stuck me on something incredibly invasive that screwed me over for most of the first month of school. To make a long story short, I spent Yom Kippur (NYAF weekend) in the hospital, after which my neurologist switched my medication again and requested I get as much sleep as humanly possible (six hours-plus every night), which is rather difficult to do when you have a roommate who wakes up early, even on weekends....

So I use what little free time take care of the necessities of college life. Seriously, I haven't written or drawn a thing in months (i.e., Otaku Battle and other projects a la Inari aren't happening any time soon)!

Anyway, I hope the rest of you guys are fairing a hell of a lot better than I am.

Ha--well, well, it appears my Intermediate Japanese midterm's today. ;3 Wish me luck~
